Lacrosse Skills and Drills
Open to girls in grades 6-11

The goal of this program is create a strong foundation of Lacrosse fundamentals in order to give each athlete the tools needed to advance their game to the next level.  Many high school and college coaches state that players arrive in their program with poor fundamental skills and a low strategic IQ for the game.

In the Skills and Drills program, the basic skills of lacrosse are addressed in six intense and progressive one-hour sessions with a focus on individualized attention and instruction. The skill set focused on in the 6 weeks includes:

  • cradling and stickwork
  • throwing and catching
  • fielding groundballs
  • shooting with both hands
  • dodging a defender
  • 1v1 defense

This intense yet instructional program conducted by the dynamic ADI Lacrosse Faculty will make each student athlete a more complete lacrosse player by also working on the development of strength, quickness, and explosiveness specific to lacrosse.

Athletes will train in a challenging and motivating environment with the goal to make each athlete advance to the next level of their game- leaving with improved skill technique and understanding, while being more comfortable with the stick in their hand.

This small group session of 4-6 dedicated athletes will also incorporate video analysis as a teaching tool allowing each athlete to view their performance of specific skills with the coach for advanced instruction and development.  Space is limited to maintain a small Faculty to athlete ratio and athletes are accepted on a first received basis.

At the conclusion of the six week program, each player will receive a written evaluation highlighting their strengths and areas to keep developing in their specific skill set.
